Billit code of conduct

At Billit, our mission is to empower entrepreneurs worldwide through secure and compliant digital invoicing. To achieve this, we commit ourselves and expect all employees, partners, and suppliers who represent us to follow these principles.

1. Integrity and Business Ethics

  • We act with honesty, loyalty, fairness, and accountability in all business dealings.
  • We comply with anti bribery and anti corruption laws everywhere we operate. No bribes, kickbacks, or facilitation payments are allowed.
  • Gifts or hospitality may never be used to gain unfair advantage; modest gestures (up to €100) are permitted if lawful and transparent.
  • Fraud, deception, theft, misrepresentation, or misuse of company or customer assets will not be tolerated.
  • All records and transactions must accurately reflect the true nature of the business.
     

2. Compliance and Security

  • We comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including financial supervision, e invoicing mandates, data protection (GDPR), anti money laundering, and competition law.
  • We do not misuse inside information or assist third parties in illegal activities.
  • Customer and personal data must be protected against unauthorized use, loss, or disclosure.
  • We design our platform with compliance and security at the core (“compliance by design”).
     

3. People and Workplace

  • Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. Harassment, discrimination, or abusive conduct are never acceptable.
  • We promote diversity, equal opportunity, and an inclusive workplace.
  • Child labor, forced labor, and human trafficking are strictly prohibited.
  • We ensure fair compensation, respect for working hours, and legally mandated benefits.
  • We maintain a safe and healthy working environment for employees, contractors, visitors, and customers.
     

4. Relationships and Conflicts of Interest

  • Business decisions must never be influenced by personal or family interests.
  • Employees must disclose any situation that could create a conflict of interest.
  • Company property, information, and position may not be used for personal gain.
     

5. Environment and Sustainability

  • We take responsibility for minimizing our environmental impact.
  • We reduce waste, energy use, and emissions wherever possible, including in our offices, data centers, and travel policies.
  • We handle digital and physical resources responsibly and strive for continuous improvement.
     

6. Intellectual Property and Confidentiality

  • We respect the intellectual property of Billit and others, including copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets.
  • Confidential information—whether from Billit, customers, or partners—must be protected and never used for personal benefit.
     

7. Speaking Up

  • Any suspected violation of this Code must be reported.
  • Billit prohibits retaliation against anyone who raises concerns in good faith.
     

8. Accountability


This Code applies to everyone working for or on behalf of Billit: employees, contractors, board members, and suppliers.
Violations may lead to corrective measures, termination of contracts, or legal action.
